the process

Contract and Deposit

We will decide on a date and location. Typically sessions will begin an hour before sunset. Once details are decided, a signed contract and 50% retainer will be required to book your session. I will send you a contract and invoice via email. You can sign and pay online! After I receive these two things, your time and date will be reserved!

The Session

My favorite part! We will meet at the location and work our way around the scenery jumping, running, laughing, or laying in the grass.

Weather

Clouds are actually great for photographs! They block out the harsh shadows. If it’s sunny, we will search for the shadows no problem. If the weather on the day of the session looks like it’s going to rain, storm, or be unbearably hot or cold we will reschedule.

Processing and Edits

The editing process takes 2-3 weeks. All photographs will be edited to photographer’s judgement. You will receive a mix of color and black and white images.

Delivery

You will receive a link to your online gallery where you can then download your photographs. This online gallery will be yours to share as well! Be sure to save these photographs in a safe place on your computer because I will only hold them for 1 year.

tips for your session

Outfits and Style

Pick just a few outfits that are true to who you are - you don't want to spend the whole time changing! Many people will choose a casual outfit, a more formal or fancy outfit then one just for fun that makes them feel awesome! Of course, this all depends on what you are using your photographs for. Have fun with layering and don't be afraid of patterns!

What to Avoid

Avoid clothes with characters, writing, or large logos on them. Avoid showing too much skin and neon colors. You don’t want anything to distract from that good lookin' smile!

Accessories and Shoes

Keep it simple. Add in a necklace, tie or a hat. Accessories can be fun and look great, but less is more. As for shoes, these can be fun as well but you don’t want them to be distracting. Avoid wearing flip flops.

Guys

If your style is to rock some facial hair, simply trim it up so you look polished! I also don’t recommend wearing open toed shoes.

Ladies

Do go slightly heavier on the make up because it really shows up in photographs. Be sure to paint your nails right before your session because chips can be distracting. We all want that sun kissed glow, but please refrain from spray tans the day before or overdoing it because it can cause unwanted lines and look dirty. We don’t want that! I highly recommend getting your hair and make up done professionally to make your photographs stand out! I have some names of hair and make up artists if you'd like!

Plan Ahead

Once you book your session, start thinking about clothes. If you wait until the day of or day before you may run into an issue of clothes not fitting, being dirty or need to be dry cleaned. Feel free to send me a few snapshots of your outfits if you need some help!
